Detectives Investigate Shooting, ID Suspects

At least two men opened fire on another man Friday night at 26th Street and Euclid Avenue in Sarasota, authorities report.
Sarasota County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of shots fired around 9 p.m. Friday.
The 44-year-old victim told them he encountered several people, at least two of whom were brandishing guns and fired multiple shots at him as he ran from the scene, officials said in a media release. No injuries were reported.

Detectives say they have identified and are seeking warrants for two of four suspects believed to be involved, and they are working on identifying others. Additional details about the suspects will be released "at an appropriate time," a sheriff's office spokesperson said.
Detectives and crime scene personnel recovered evidence and took witness statements at the scene.
