Dog of the Week: Sophia

Meet a little puppy named Sophia.

She's spry, full of energy for one year old with plenty of puppy love. She's also very smart, but she won't recount tales of Sicily or cheesecake (Golden Girls, anyone?).

The volunteer trainers at the Humane Society of Sarasota County have been working with Sophia to teach her lessons she should have learned when she was younger — things like don’t jump on people and how to take treats nicely, and she is pretty quick to catch on.  

Sophia is motivated by treats and want to please.

She'll need an owner that is willing to keep up with her training. 

With the right owner, she will be one great dog.
