Dolphin Aviation Awards 2016 Scholarships To 5 Local Students

Five Sarasota County high school students were each awarded $1,000 scholarships.

Sarasota, FL – Five Sarasota County high school students were awarded $1,000 college scholarships by Dolphin Aviation Owner Ron Ciaravella.

This is the 15th year that the Dolphin Aviation Academic Scholarships were awarded to local youth. Ciaravella and Florida Rep. Greg Steube, who serves Sarasota County and eastern Manatee County, presented the scholarships on Friday, July 15.

The 2016 Dolphin Aviation Academic Scholarship award winners are:

  • Ronika Perez of Sarasota High School, who will attend State College of Florida
  • Niam Tanner of Sarasota Military Academy, who will attend Florida Gulf Coast University
  • Angela George of Riverview High School, who will attend the University of Florida
  • Evan Edwards of Venice High School, who will attend Valencia College
  • Amaia Cliatt of Booker High School, who will attend Bethune-Cookman University

Dolphin Aviation was founded in 1969 at the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport in Sarasota and offers a wide range of services as a 24-hour general aviation facility.
