Drugs, Guns Seized In Newtown Bust
Sarasota Police seize marijuana, cocaine, guns and ammo at 1544 22nd St. in Sarasota.

Sarasota Police arrested four people at a Newtown home Wednesday during a bust for drugs and gun charges.
The Sarasota Police Tactical and Strategic Units, with the assistance of the Street Crimes Unit entered 1544 22nd St., according to police, with a search warrant at 10 a.m. Wednesday and seized:
• 33.3 grams of marijuana

• 52.1 grams of rock cocaine
• 1.5 grams of powder cocaine

• two handguns
• ammunition
The following people were arrested and charged due to the investigation:
Anthony Williams, 40
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Possession of ammunition by a convicted felon
- Armed trafficking in cocaine
- Possession of a controlled substance (Hydrocodone 30 mg)
- Possession of a controlled substance(Hydromorphone)
- Possession of marijuana over 20 grams
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
Jermaine Higdon, 35
- Possession of ammunition by a convicted felon
- Possession of cocaine
- Possession of marijuana less than 20 grams
Majoric Lee, 32
- Dealing in stolen property
- Possession of marijuana less than 20 grams
Christopher Rambeau, 25
- Possession of marijuana less than 20 grams
Police shared that the investigation was prompted from community concerns of suspected drug activity in the neighborhood and those who supect drug activity near their homes can call a special hotline at 941-954-7050.
