FL Man Fatally Shot 2 Brothers During NY Hunting Trip, Troopers Say
An Englewood man was charged with murder in the fatal shootings of his two brothers during a NY hunting trip, troopers said.
ALLEN, NY — An Englewood man was charged with two counts of second-degree murder for fatally shooting his two brothers Sunday during a hunting trip in upstate New York, New York State Police said in a news release.
Scot D. Thompson, 65, was also charged with two counts of first-degree criminal use of a firearm.
State troopers responded to a disturbance at a hunting cabin on Botsford Hollow Road in Allen around 10 p.m. after the brothers got into a fight and one of them called 911.

During the fight, Scot Thompson fatally shot Mark B. Thompson, 70, of Canterbury, Connecticut, and David E. Thompson, 69, of Port Charlotte, Florida, with a rifle, troopers said.
He then left the cabin in David’s vehicle.

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and the Geneseo Police Department found the vehicle and took Scot into custody without incident, troopers said.
An autopsy is scheduled for the victims at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
