Sarasota Millionaires Football Kicks Off Season
Retired Houston Oilers and Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Ernest Givens Jr. will coach Sarasota Millionaires minor league football team.

A former two-time NFL Pro Bowler will coach the minor league football Sarasota Millionaires on the sidelines this weekend as the team opens up for the Unity in the Community game.
Sarasota will take on the Daytona Beach Wildcats Saturday at 7 p.m on the field, located at 3201 N. Orange Ave.

The Unity in the Community game is a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
“We would like to acknowledge Dr. King and our community while celebrating something fun and positive with activities for the entire family to enjoy. Our goal is to also provide something engaging for teens and young adults in an interactive and diverse environment that extends the promotion of Dr. King’s dream.”, says Bethsaida Williams, co-owner of the Millionaires.

Before the game at 4 p.m., the event will include a variety of festivities such as a bounce house for kids, creative face painting, exciting games and raffle prizes and more.
The Millionaires are dedicated to "uplifting of the North Sarasota community and is known for their mentoring programs designed to keep young males off the streets," according to a news release.
Sponsors for the Unity in the Community game include Sign Zoo, Enhanced Auto Care with the support of Booker High and principal, Dr. Rachel Shelley.
Tickets for the game are $5 in advance and regularly priced at only $7 for adults, $5 for students and $3 for children.
