French Filmmakers Circuit Florida, Sarasota For Project
A group of aspiring French filmmakers are putting together video projects of their travel including one with Florida and Siesta Key.

Sometimes you just need to see where you live through a traveler's eyes.
For something entirely different, check out this video above of a team of French students and an aspiring documentarian where they speed up their 10-day trip around the state, calling it The Sunshine State Project. The filmmaker calls himself Niko, which is a very artsy and European thing to do. His friends Alexis and Bruno came with.
It's been a few years (eight) since I completed French language courses, so with the magic of Google Translate, this is what we know about the journey, which you can find on their site http://travelmap.nikosworld.fr.

In addition to Sarasota's beaches, the trio stopped at Key West, Key Largo, Sanibel, Fort Myers, Clearwater, Tampa, Orlando, Cape Canaveral and Miami Beach, covering about 2,000 kilometers.
They packed pretty much everything a first-time tourist to the state could do, visiting theme parks, taking bike tours, visiting glitzy bars and spending time at the wonderful beaches.

The four-minute video is set to music ("Balance" by Future Islands) and clips along at a nice pace using some filters for an artistic flair. It feels like it can be a nice ad for Florida tourism in a way. The film was shot in February, but was just uploaded this week.
He also has beaucoup des photos up on his site, too, featuring the Sunshine State Project. It's nice to have Niko and his friends share his art of touring Florida. His next stop? Budapest.
