Grants support All Faiths Food Bank’s ‘ThankFULL’ campaign
Annual fundraising effort supports the distribution of 14,500 turkeys and 4.1 million holiday meals in Sarasota and DeSoto counties
As community members continue to contend with soaring living costs — on top of devastating federal cuts to food and health assistance programs — All Faiths Food Banks is grateful to the individuals, foundation and corporate donors who gave generously to its ThankFULL campaign. This annual effort ensures families in our community have food during the holidays.
This year’s goal was to distribute 14,500 turkey dinners and provide 4.1 million holiday meals, a record number for the nonprofit. Some noteworthy contributions to the campaign include: the Kathleen K. Catlin Foundation of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, $100,000 (turkeys); Sunset Auto Group, $26,618 (holiday meals); Oasis Café and Bakery, $16,000 (turkeys); PM International AG, $10,200 (turkeys); and FPL, $5,000 (turkeys – DeSoto County).
Between January and October 2025, the food bank saw visits rise by 26% from last year. Hardworking parents, seniors on fixed incomes and veterans comprise the nearly 220,000 people in our region who need food each year. More than half of local children rely on free and reduced-cost school meals for the nutrition they need to grow and succeed academically.

All Faiths hosts or supplies food for 725 food distributions each month, totaling more than 20 million meals shared with over 80,000 neighbors annually. But the need continues to outpace available resources.
“We are gratified by the generosity of our community each and every year, especially as the government resources available to help our neighbors continue to shrink,” said All Faiths President and CEO Nelle S. Miller. “We’re thankful to our donors and partners who help to fill empty plates while sharing the joys of the season with local families.”

Turkey distributions took place in DeSoto and Sarasota counties throughout November. Holiday meals will continue to be distributed through All Faiths’ mobile pantries and agency partners through the end of the year.
