Human Remains Found At St. Pete Home Connected To Missing Woman: SPD

After a fire at a home connected to the family of a St. Pete woman missing for two weeks, human remains were found inside, police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Human remains were found at the site of a house fire in the 1700 block of Prescott Street S., according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.

The home is connected to the family of 42-year-old Kelli Fisher, who has been missing for two weeks.

St. Petersburg police and the Pinellas-Pasco County Medical Examiner's Office will collaborate to determine the person's identity and the cause of death, SPPD said.

Fisher was last seen July 16, when she left the home she shared with her aunt in the 1700 block of Prescott Street S. in her aunt’s car, but never returned, police said in a news release. Her aunt reported her missing on July 17.

Officers found her car abandoned on July 18 in an empty lot near 803 28th Ave. S., about 1.5 miles from her home. The front driver’s side door was open and three cell phones were found in the car, as well as a small amount of cash on the dashboard, police said.

On Sunday, a fire broke out in the kitchen of a home owned by Fisher’s family on Prescott Street S., where she spent time, police said.

Fisher stands 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. She has brown eyes and shoulder-length black hair.
