Hurricane Irma Recovery: Sarasota Pools Set To Open
Sarasota has announced plans to reopen two community pools before the weekend is out.

SARASOTA, FL — Sarasota area residents ready to dive into cool water to beat the heat will find two of the city's pools set to serve them. The city on Friday announced plans to reopen both the Lido and Robert L. Taylor pools before the weekend is out.
The Lido pool opened for business on Friday morning. The pool will now run on its normal schedule, an email from the city said. The Robert L. Taylor Community Complex Poll is set to reopen on Sept. 16. The pool will operate on its normal hours, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., starting Saturday.

While the pools are up and running, the Children’s Fountain suffered damage during Hurricane Irma’s run through the city. As of Friday, city officials did not have a set date for the fountain to reopen.
