I-75 On, Off Ramps Closing in Sarasota Area
A one-night closing of Interstate 75 on and off ramps at one Sarasota interchange is planned Tuesday.

SARASOTA, FL — Motorists with plans to hit Interstate 75 north to get a jump of Thanksgiving travel will want to avoid the interchange at University Parkway in Sarasota Tuesday night.
The Florida Department of Transportation has announced a one night closing of both the northbound off and on ramps starting at 10 p.m. Nov. 22. The closing is part of an ongoing construction project. It is expected to last until about 5 a.m. Nov. 23.
Motorists heading north on I-75 who would normally get off on University Parkway are asked to take the State Road 70 exit instead, get back on I-75 south and head to the southbound University Parkway exit.
