Vehicles stuck on the freeway were turned around and exiting I-75 using the southbound on-ramp at Bee Ridge Road earlier in the afternoon, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office shared on its Facebook page.

“All lanes of southbound I-75 are now open and traffic is flowing freely. Please continue to drive carefully,” the agency posted at 4 p.m.
