‘Island Boys’ Rapper, Gang Member Faces Gun, Drug Charges: FL Sheriff
Franky Venegas, an "Island Boys" rapper and known gang member, was arrested on gun and drug charges in the Naples area, authorities said.

COLLIER COUNTY, FL — An “Island Boys” rapper and known gang member, Franky Venegas, was arrested on gun and drug charges Sunday night in Collier County, authorities said.
Venegas was a passenger in a car that was pulled over around 9 p.m. after failing to fully stop at a stop sign on Oil Well Road and Immokalee Road, according to an arrest report from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver, Olivia Dubois, 25, was issued a citation for an expired vehicle registration.

During the traffic stop, a deputy found a plastic bag with white pills that were determined to be oxycodone and oxycodone with acetaminophen pills, a controlled substance, on the front passenger side’s floor, the report said.
Venegas told deputies that the pills weren’t his, and he didn’t know where they came from, although he did say that he had a prescription for Oxycodone that he didn’t have with him, according to the report.

As deputies continued to search the car, they found a handbag with a spray-painted blue gun missing the serial number, a clear plastic cut straw and credit cards with Venegas’ name on them inside it, the sheriff’s office said.
Another cut straw with “a white powdery substance” was found in the car’s center console, the report said.
He was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of an altered firearm.
