Jazz Club Offers Valentine's Day Dance

The presents a Valentine's Day Dinner & Dance, an evening of cocktails, dinner, dancing and jazz, 5:30 to 10 p.m. on Feb. 14.

The dinner and dance will be at , 1000 Circus Blvd., Sarasota. Tickets are $35 per person and include dinner; there will be a cash bar. For reservations, call 941-366-1552.

The headliner for the evening is the Lorri Hafer Quintet, featuring Mike Hafer on keyboards, Paul Hafer on bass, Dave Dunscombe on drums and vocalist Lorri Hafer. Celebrated tenor saxophonist Jim Wellen will accompany them. The group will perform a strong selection of the best of the great American songbook.

“This event was designed to offer jazz enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy inspired music, conversation, and dinner in a sophisticated ambience,” says Frank Gooch, Jazz Club vice president and organizer of this event. “It rekindles the supper club setting, where guests can mingle, enjoy cocktails and dinner together, and listen and dance to great music by professional ensembles.”

Gooch adds that the Lorri Hafer Quintet enjoys playing special requests, “so come prepared with your favorite love songs!”
