Juvenile Shot Twice: Search On For 2 Suspects, Vehicle (Video)
Sarasota Police are asking for help identifying two people accused in a recent shooting that left a boy injured.

SARASOTA, FL — The Sarasota Police Department is asking for help identifying two people its officers say were involved in a Wednesday drive-by shooting that left a boy injured.
According to the agency, the shooting happened in the 2000 block of 28th Street just before 5 p.m. on Dec. 14. The victim is a male juvenile, police say, but they have not identified him nor shared his age.
The victim was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital’s trauma center after the shooting. He underwent surgery to repair damage from two bullet wounds, an email from the agency said.

The suspects in the shooting are believed to be two males between the ages of 16 and 20. They were last seen driving away from the area northbound on North Washington Boulevard. The vehicle they were in is believed to be a faded blue or purple Chevrolet Cavalier with a sunroof and spoiler. Police say it is estimated to be a 1996 or 1997 model.
The shooting is not believed to be random, the email said.
