Kevin Pollack To Perform Stand-up in Sarasota

1. Comedian, impressionist and actor Kevin Pollack is coming to  for one night only on Friday. Two shows are offered at 7 p.m. and 9: 15 p.m. Tickets cost $17. Admission also requires a two purchase minimum in the showroom. You may recognize Pollack from A Few Good Men, Grumpier Old Men, Usual Suspects and Casino.

2. is throwing quite the customer appreciation party on Saturday. It goes from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., being dubbed the Super Soul Revival Saturday Soiree. It features free beer and soft drinks, wear cool sunglasses for a free gift and barbecue available from FoodeeZ Mobil Catering. 

3. Check out architect Carl Abbott's lecture and exhibit tonight from 5:30  to 6:30 p.m. at Selby Gallery/Ringling College. The event is free, and afterward you can wine and dine at Carl Abbott's Studio for $10-15.

Tonight is the finale, starting at 6 p.m. in the parking lot with music by The Black Honkeys, with the contest at 7 p.m..

5.   continues this weekend. It's a haunting story about a piano teacher, Mrs. K, who is widowed and wondered what her former piano students are up to now, and she receives some surprising stories. The play shows at 8 p.m. with select 2 p.m. matinees.
