Legacy Trail Surrey Rides Return In 2017
Sarasota County plans to bring back its Surrey Ride Program at Legacy Trail early next year.

SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — Mobility issues don’t have to stop Sarasota County residents and visitors from enjoying the Legacy Trail. The free “Surrey Ride Program” is set to make a return Jan. 11, 2017.
According to Sarasota County, the surrey program is a partnership between its parks, recreation and natural resources department and the Friends of the Legacy Trail. Surrey rides will be available between 9 a.m. and noon every Wednesday and Thursday from Jan. 11 through April 20.
“Riders can sit back and enjoy the ride on a four-passenger, four-wheeled canopy covered surrey type bicycle while FLT volunteers provide the 45-minute, pedal-powered trips,” an email from the county said. “The ride includes information and history of the Legacy Trail and its surroundings.”
