Mail Stolen From Siesta Drive Post Office Over Weekend
As many as 800 pieces of mail were taken from the drop box sometime this past weekend, Sarasota Police said.
Police are investigating after as many as 800 pieces of mail were stolen from a drop box in front of the U.S. Post Office on Siesta Drive over Memorial Day weekend.
The external drop box in front of the branch, at 2055 Siesta Dr., was pried open sometime over the weekend, according to Sarasota Police.
Police are asking anyone with information or who dropped mail outside the post office to contact Postal Inspector Doug Smith by calling 813-281-5256.
