Man Charged For Bank Robbery
Robert Johnson was is charged with attempted bank robbery and bank robbery.

Robert Johnson, 29, was wearing gloves while putting a ski mask over his face and pulling a hoodie over his head as he approached the door of the Liberty Savings Bank, 2323 Stickney Point Rd. Wednesday.
According to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office, at 10:46 a.m. a Liberty Savings Bank employee saw Johnson putting on the mask and locked the doors.
Johnson ran off when he could not gain access, authorities said.

As deputies were searching for Johnson, deputies said a robbery was reported at Bank of America, 3450 Clark Rd.
A man matching the description of the first suspect said he had a gun and handed the teller plastic bags to fill with cash.

That incident was called in at 11:29 a.m. and responding deputies located the suspect nearby just five minutes later, a news release said.
Johnson was arrested and charged with bank robbery and attempted robbery.
