Man Charged With False Imprisonment
A woman wanted out of a car but was physically restrained by the driver, who fled police before being tased according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.

A woman screaming inside a Mercedes Benz demanding she wanted out led to the arrest of its driver for false imprisonment on Tuttle Avenue Saturday morning.
Deputies noticed the woman screaming inside the black Mercedes at 17th Street and Tuttle Avenue at 3:11 a.m. Saturday, and attempted to stop the car.
The drive fled leading deputies on a short car chase, then the man left the car and fled, but deputies were able to catch up with him and deployed the Taser and took him into custody, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim told deputies that she voluntarily got into the car earlier but she wanted out, the suspect refused and physically restrained her in the car, according to the sheriff’s office.
Joel Concepcion, 43, is charged with false imprisonment, leading police on a high-speed pursuit, driving while license was suspended — third or more offense, resisting arrest without violence, and battery, according to the sheriff’s office. His combined bond at the Sarasota County Jail is $11,500, according to the jail booking report.

The victim was transported to to be treated for minor injuries.
