Man Accused Of Exposing Himself To Family On FL Beach
A man was arrested on multiple charges after Sarasota police received reports that he exposed himself to a family at Lido Beach.
SARASOTA, FL — A man was arrested after reports that he exposed himself on Lido Beach, Sarasota police said in a news release.
Daniel Mensch, 29, faces two counts of lewd and lascivious behavior involving a victim younger than 18 and four counts of indecent exposure.
A family at the beach contacted police the night of Aug. 29 about Mensch’s behavior, investigators said.

A mother told police that he sat at a picnic table near her and her two sons and exposed his private parts to them, according to Mensch’s arrest affidavit.
A girl from the same family also told detectives that Mensch briefly exposed himself to her while she was washing off shells she collected in a shower area at the beach, the affidavit said.

The youngest victims were under 16 years old, police said.
Community Action Team officers found Mensch while patrolling the beach on Aug. 30 and arrested him without incident.
He was booked into the Sarasota County Jail and has since been released on bond.
