Man Found Dead After Being Hit by Vehicle

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office and the Sarasota Fire Department found a man dead at 12:43 a.m. Sunday in the driveway at 250 Oakford Rd.

When they arrived on the scene, authorities determined that a vehicle hit the victim. The investigation indicates the subject died as a result of being struck by a vehicle, according to the sheriff's report.

According to the sheriff's office, a suspect is in custody and the vehicle has also been located. 

Names of the victim and the suspect have not been released. 

The sheriff’s office and Florida Highway Patrol are currently conducting the investigation.
