Masked Man Robs Sarasota Store At Gunpoint
Sarasota Police are asking for help identifying a man accused in a Monday armed robbery.
SARASOTA, FL — The Sarasota Police Department is asking for help identifying a man its detectives say held up a Circle K early Monday morning.
According to the agency, a masked man walked into the 1801 S. Tamiami Trail store around 3 a.m. May 1 and showed a gun to the clerk. The man kept the gun at his waist, but demanded cash and “threatened to do harm if the demand was not met,” an email from the police department said.
The employee, police say, handed over cash. The suspect took off on foot, leaving the employee unarmed.
