Meet Sarasota's City Manager Finalists
Four city manager finalists will be available for questions from the public on June 29 and then be interviewed by a panel on June 30.

Candidate Barbara Lipscomb withdrew from the process after taking another job.
Earlier: Next week the public will be able to get its first opportunity to pick the brains of Sarasota's four city manager finalists.

The finalists will attend a community reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 29 at the where candidates will be able to chat with residents in a casual setting.
The following day, Saturday, June 30, the finalists will interview with the full City Commission and the Citizens Panel 8 a.m. – 12:50 p.m. at . The meeting is open to all. The candidates also will meet with the city's Department Heads the same day.

The finalists would replace regarding an email spying allegation.
The finalists are:
- Thomas Barwin - Village Manager, Village of Oak Park, Illinois - 2006 to 2012
- Rick Chaffin - Deputy City Manager, McKinney, Texas - 2006 to 2012
- James Chisholm - City Manager, Daytona Beach, Florida - 2004 to present
- Edward Mitchell - City Administrator, West Palm Beach, Florida, 1999 to present
The City Commission interviews will be televised live on Access Sarasota (Comcast channel 19 and Verizon channels 32 and 34) as a City Commission workshop. It also will be streamed live on www.SarasotaGov.com
The City Commission is scheduled to select a new City Manager during its Regular City Commission meeting on July 2.
