FL Man Thrown From Motorcycle Dies After Being Hit By Car

A Sarasota man died after being thrown from his motorcycle and hit by a car Tuesday evening, FL Highway Patrol said.

SARASOTA, FL — A Sarasota man died after being thrown from his motorcycle and run over by another driver Tuesday evening, Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.

The 35-year-old was heading north on Honore Avenue, south of Turtle Creek Lane, when he lost control of his motorcycle around 6:30 p.m.

He drove over the raised median and entered the southbound lane of Honore Avenue, where he overturned and he was thrown from his motorcycle, FHP said.

He was hit by a car driven by a 20-year-old Sarasota woman who was driving south on Honore.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
