Motorcyclist Dies In Crash On Ringling Bridge

Ronald Ochoa of Sarasota died at the scene of the crash overnight Saturday.

A 31-year-old Sarasota man died in a high-speed crash on John Ringling Bridge Saturday.

Witnesses told Sarasota Police that Ronald Ochoa, of the 2300 block 19th St., was travelling at high speeds, weaving in and out of traffic on eastbound John Ringling Bridge on his 2005 red Suzuki motorcycle approaching the causeway when he struck a black 2010 Nissan Sentra.

The crash happened at 1:32 a.m., and police say that Ochoa died at the scene.

Four people inside the Nissan were taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
