Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Sarasota Crash
The driver of a motorcycle was seriously injured Thursday night when the motorcycle crashed into an asphalt truck.

SARASOTA, FL — The driver of a motorcycle was seriously injured early Friday morning when his motorcycle crashed into an asphalt truck.
Sarasota police said the crash occurred at 10th Street and U.S.41.
"For unknown reasons, a motorcyclist was approaching the intersection and drove into the back of an asphalt truck," according to Sarasota police.

The agency's Genevieve Judge said a patrol officer witnessed the crash as the motorcycle traveled south on North Tamiami Trail.
"The motorcycle operator, an adult male, lost control for unknown reasons and crashed into the back of an asphalt truck that was parked in the 900 block of North Tamiami Trail," Judge said.

The driver of the motorcycle was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital in serious condition, according to Judge.
