As of 7:31 a.m., all northbound lanes on I-75 in Sarasota County are blocked near mile marker 199, just before State Road 681, because of a vehicle crash with injuries. First responders arrived at the scene at 6:19 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol Live Traffic Crash and Road Condition Report. (Nokomis)
As of 7:34 a.m., there’s a vehicle crash at Fruitville Lane near Annie Laurel Lane. No roads are currently blocked, FHP said. (Sarasota)
As of 7:52 a.m., responders are on the scene of a vehicle crash at 14th Street W. and 57th Avenue W. No roads are blocked, FHP said. (Bradenton)
As of 7:38 a.m., responders are on the scene for a hit-and-run crash on I-75 north in Bradenton at mile marker 223, not far from U.S. 301. No roads are currently blocked, FHP said. (Bradenton)
As of 7:35 a.m., a vehicle crash has blocked roads on Fort Hamer Road near Mulholland Road in Parrish, according to FHP. (Parrish)
As of 7:36 a.m., construction in DeSoto County is slowing traffic in Arcadia. The eastbound right lane of State Road 70 is blocked from N. Lee Avenue to N. Manatee Avenue, FHP said. (Arcadia)
Sarasota, Bradenton Weather
Cloudy skies are reported in the Sarasota area as of 8:27 a.m., on Monday, with a temperature of 77 degrees, according to the AccuWeather forecast for the area. The high today will be 87 with a low of 75 degrees.
The Bradenton area has similar weather conditions as of 8:32 a.m., according to AccuWeather, with cloudy skies and a temperature of 76 degrees. Today’s high will be 86 with a low of 76 degrees.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout the region this afternoon and evening.
Following the heavy storms in recent days, today’s slow-moving thunderstorms could cause minor ponding and flooding in low-lying areas during the late afternoon, early evening commute, according to WWSB.
