Murder Suicide Suspected In Deaths Of Elderly Sarasota Couple

SARASOTA, FL — Sarasota police suspect the deaths of an elderly couple were the result of a murder suicide.

Genevieve Judge of the Sarasota Police Department said the couple was found in the 1200 block of 32nd Street on Tuesday.

"At this time, the preliminary investigation appears this is a murder suicide," according to Judge. "Officers believe this is an isolated incident and the public is not in any danger."

Judge said the deaths of the couple remain under investigation. She did not identify the couple or say what might have led to the possible murder suicide.
