SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — Terrence Conner was selected Wednesday as the new Sarasota County Schools superintendent.

The former Hillsborough County Schools administrator was chosen to lead the districtby the Sarasota County School Board, according to Fox13 News.

Other candidates for the position included Dr. Allison Foster, who’s serving as interim superintendent, Dr. Joe Phillips, the current chief information officer for Broward County Public Schools, and Charlie Van Zant, former Clay County Schools superintendent.
