None Hurt in School Bus Crash Involving Riverview High Students

The driver and the 26 Riverview students aboard were uninjured when a teen motorist pulled in front of the bus Wednesday morning, the FHP reports.

No injuries were reported when a car collided with a school bus carrying 26 Riverview High School students Wednesday morning in Sarasota, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.

Investigators say the 17-year-old driver of a Ford Mustang pulled out in front of the bus at the intersection of Honore Avenue and Levi Lane, striking its left front wheel.

The teen driver had been stopped at a stop sign at Levi Lane but violated the right of way by turning left and into the path of the oncoming bus, which did not have a stop sign on Honore, the FHP reports.
