Police Seek CVS Robbery Suspect

Sarasota police released the photos of a suspect who they said robbed a CVS on Monday.

Sarasota Police are asking the public for help in identifying a man who investigators say robbed a CVS, at 3709 North Tamiami Trail, on Monday morning.

According to police, a store clerk was handed a note at the front register from a customer.

"The note and the male demanded the money in the drawer, and the male implied he had a weapon," according to a press release from Sarasota Police.

The clerk gave the suspect cash, and he fled the store. Police say he rode off on a bicycle, traveling north.

The suspect is in his 20s or 30s, and was wearing a dark knit type cap, dark jacket, and blue jeans.

A witness saw the perpetrator discard the bicycle and flee on foot.

The Sarasota Police Department K-9 Unit responded and attempted to track the perpetrator but did not locate him.
