The Ringling Offers Discounted Tickets To Sarasota, Manatee Residents

SARASOTA-MANATEE, FL — The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art is offering half-off admission to residents of Sarasota and Manatee counties on every Saturday and Sunday in September.

Residents can purchase their discounted tickets in-person only and need to show a valid ID, a news release from the museum said.

Part of Florida State University, The Ringling’s campus in Sarasota includes the Museum of Art, the Circus Museum, a historic mansion, an 18th-century theater, a glass arts pavilion and Bayfront Gardens.

The museum is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.

Current exhibits include “Yoshida Hiroshi: Journeys Through Light,” 17th-century Dutch paintings on loan from the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and “Juana Romani: Forgotten No More.”

Museum admission, which includes the Museum of Art, Circus Museum and Bayfront Gardens, is regularly $30 for adults.
