Ringling To Host Several Rubens Events Highlighting Galleries
John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art will host several events during February, March and April to highlight the collection of Peter Paul Rubens works.
The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art will have a Rubenesque size of events highlighting different themes of the works of Peter Paul Rubens during the next three months.
The exhibit opens Friday at the Ringling Museum's Ulla R. and Arthur F. Searing Wing and runs through June 3.

Ruben Scholar Symposium
March 30-31: Noted Ruben schoolars will discuss the artist's Triumph of the Eucharist tapestry series in the Johnson-Blalock Education Center. Five large-scale canvases related to the series are displayed in the Ringling's Rubens Galleries.

A Baroque Banquet
April 24: Presented by Ringling's Art of Food program, patrons can sample what it would be like to enjoy the fare that Rubens would ahve lavished guests with at his Antwerp home. A stroll of the exhibit is followed by adinner at Treviso Restaurant. Tickets at $85 for non-members and $70 for members.
Peter Paul Rubens and the Art of Diplomacy
April 28: Author and historian Mark Lamster presents a ViewPoint lecture in the Historic Asolo Theater. Tickets are $10 for non-members free for Ringling Members at the Contributor (Supporting) Level and above; $5 for all other Ringling members and Florida College students and faculty with valid school ID.
