Update: Riverside Drive Bridge Opening Delayed
The Riverside Drive bridge, located in north Sarasota, will be closed through July 27.
Update: A north Sarasota bridge will continue to be closed until July 27 for repairs.
The Riverside Drive bridge, northeast of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way bridge over the Whitaker Bayou, is temporarily closed for maintenance, according to the City of Sarasota.
The bridge was scheduled to reopen today; however, maintenance on the bridge has been more extensive than anticipated, prompting the extended closure.

Local traffic will be able to access each end of the bridge from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way and North Riverside Drive. Only the bridge will be closed to traffic.
