Robert L. Taylor Community Complex to Host 4th Annual Trunk or Treat
The event provides children a safe environment to celebrate Halloween.

SARASOTA, FL – Looking for a night of ghosts, ghouls and things that go bump in the night before going door-to-door?
Several Sarasota-area organizations will host their fourth annual Trunk or Treat event at the Robert L. Taylor Community Complex on Friday, Oct. 28 at 5:30 p.m. The complex is located at 1845 34th St. in Sarasota.
Trunk or Treat is a free, safe community event where children and families can don their best Halloween costumes and enjoy devilishly fun activities. Residents are invited to trim their vehicle trunks with spooky trimmings and hand out treats.

In addition to the trick-or-treating, the festivities will include games, bounce houses, and a haunted house. The event will conclude with a special moonlight screening of the family-friendly movie “Goosebumps,” shown outdoors on the new multi-purpose artificial turf field at RLTCC.

- 5:30 to 7 p.m.: Trunk or Treating
- 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.: Games, bounce houses and haunted house
- 6:45 p.m.: Costume and decorated trunk contest
- 7 to 9 p.m.: Moonlight Movie, “Goosebumps”
To participate in the trunk decorating contest, vehicles must be registered by Thursday, Oct. 27. Vehicles can be registered by stopping by RLTCC or by calling (941) 954-4182. Click here to download a registration form.
Trunk or Treat is a collaboration between the Sarasota Police Department, Sarasota County Fire Department, Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, Fun4SRQKids.com, and Ringling College of Art and Design. The Sarasota Municipal Employee Credit Union is sponsoring the moonlight movie.
