Sarasota Man Charged With 11 Counts Of Child Porn Possession

SARASOTA, FL - A 54-year-old Sarasota man has been arrested and charged with 11 counts of possession of child pornography. Onur Ucer is accused of downloading thousands of photos and videos of child pornography between October 2017 and January 2018, police said.

Sarasota police received information that Ucer was downloading porn images involving children through various file sharing sites through the Internet, police said. After obtaining a search warrant, Sarasota police detectives and FBI agents searched Ucer's home on Wednesday and collected numerous DVDs, CDs. VHS tapes, hard drives, laptop computers, desktop computer tower and two cell phones found in the garage apartment.

Detectives conducted a preview of one of the hard drives and found images and videos of child pornography, according to police. The images and videos were specifically labeled and organized into folders. Ucer was arrested and taken to the Sarasota County Jail.

This investigation remains ongoing and additional charges are possible., police said.
