Sarasota Man Faces Sexual Battery Charge
Sarasota Police charged Ernest Black for sexual battery against a 3-year-old, and the victim's mother said she was also molested by Black about 20 years ago.
A north Sarasota man is facing sexual battery charge for molesting a 3-year-old.
on Wednesday charged Ernest W. Black, 39, of 1900 block N. Orange Ave., with capital sexual battery for a child younger than 12 years old, according to the police department. The victim is 3 years old, according to police.
Police report that the battery happened April 28, and during the investigation, the victim's mother said that Black molested her about 20 years ago when she was 9 years old. Black is also related to both victims, according to police.

Black is being held at Sarasota County Jail without bond, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office inmate charge report.
