Sarasota Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash

A 28-year-old Sarasota man is dead following a Wednesday morning crash on Gateway Avenue at Stickney Point Road.

SARASOTA, FL — A 28-year-old Sarasota man is dead following a single motorcycle crash on Gateway Avenue at Stickney Point Road early Wednesday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Brad Edward Kaser was heading north on Gateway Avenue on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle around 12:50 a.m. Nov. 9. Kaser was in the left lane, approaching Stickney Point Road when troopers say he tried to make an abrupt left turn.

Kaser, a highway patrol report said, lost control of his bike, hit the center median and was ultimately thrown into the road. Troopers say Kaser was pronounced dead at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. He had been wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
