Sarasota Man Seriously Injured in Cattlemen Road Motorcycle Crash
A 37-year-old Sarasota man suffered serious injuries following a Monday evening crash on Cattlemen Road.

SARASOTA, FL — A 66-year-old Sarasota man was cited following a Monday evening crash that sent a motorcyclist to the hospital with serious injuries.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Normand Audette was heading north on Cattlemen Road in a Chrysler 300 around 5:45 p.m. Nov. 28. Audette was in the left turn lane stopped for traffic at Cattleridge Boulevard, a highway patrol report said.
At that time, when another driver was heading south on Cattlemen Road, nearing the Cattleridge Boulevard intersection. Troopers say Audette attempted to make a left turn and drove into the other driver's path.

The man was unable to avoid the car, the report said. His motorcycle struck the Chrysler’s side.
Both vehicles, the report noted, had solid green traffic signals at the time of impact.

The driver of the motorcycle suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Audette was cited for turning left in front of approaching traffic.
