Sarasota Renaissance, Medieval Performers Go Gangnam Style

Sarasota Medieval Fair returns Saturday ... in Gangnam Style?

Heeeeyyyyyy, sexy Medieval lady!

The theme of the 2012 Sarasota Medieval Fair is "Irish Year" but a little Korean can't hurt.

The minds behind the annual fair are taking the viral video approach by having their performers dance to Psy's explosively viral "Gangnam Style."

It's a shame that only 112 folks have viewed the YouTube video as of this publishing because anything remotely ridiculous in Renaissance garb is hilarious and worth watching hours on end. I think Monty Python proved that well.

At 33 seconds, the cast gives a tease of their Gangnam ability what with the horse-inspired rodeo dancing and all.

I can't seem to find a Gangnam Style dance contest listed on the official events list, but the fun begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Sarasota County Fairgrounds.

Visit Patch on Friday for a full preview.
