Sarasota Woman, 82, Seriously Injured In Crash
An 82-year-old Sarasota woman was seriously injured during a single-vehicle crash on Fruitville Road Wednesday morning.
SARASOTA, FL — An 82-year-old Sarasota woman was airlifted to a local hospital with serious injuries following a Wednesday morning crash on Fruitville Road.
According to the agency, Mary Bauer was heading westbound on Fruitville Road, just west of Verna Road, around 11:40 a.m. May 24. Bauer’s 2011 Buick Lucerne traveled across the westbound lane, onto the shoulder and into a guardrail, a highway patrol report said.
Bauer was airlifted to a local hospital with serious injuries after the crash. Troopers have not said why the Buick went off the road, but have said no charges were filed in the crash.
