Siesta Key, 7 Other FL Beaches Among Top Beaches In U.S.: List
Despite a direct hit from Hurricane Milton as a Category 3 storm on Oct. 9, Siesta Key is the No. 1 beach in the U.S., TripAdvisor said.
SARASOTA, FL — Despite being ravaged by back-to-back hurricanes during the 2024 hurricane season — including a direct hit from Milton as a powerful Category 3 storm on Oct. 9 — Siesta Beach ranked as the No. 1 beach in the U.S., according to TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards “Best of the Best Beaches” listfor 2025.
Siesta Beach also came in at No. 4 among the top beaches in the world. It was the only Florida beach to make the global list.
The lists were compiled by analyzing tens of millions of reviews submitted by global travelers over the past 12 months.

“Whether you want to relax or fill your day with activities, Siesta Beach delivers. Kick back on the white sand, go swimming in the clear water, or simply admire the sunset — it's up to you,” according to TripAdvisor. “It's easy to get to via public transportation, offers wheelchair access, and has plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.”

- No. 9 - Bahia Honda State Park in Big Pine Key
- No. 11 - Sombrero Beach in Marathon
- No. 15 - Fort Lauderdale Beach in Fort Lauderdale
- No. 19 - Panama City Beach
- No. 20 - Henderson Beach State Park in Destin
- No. 22 - St. Augustine Beach
