SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — A resurfacing project is underway in Siesta Key, according to a Sarasota County news release.
The roadwork, which started May 23 and should be done by January, is part of a county-wide roadway resurfacing program.
The county contracted with Ajax Paving Industries of Florida, LLC for the project.

The project includes milling and paving, pavement stripping, Americans with Disabilities Act ramp modifications, curb repairs, roadway base repairs, and school zone sign improvements.
Construction takes place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., excluding holidays.
Drivers may experience lane closures and should seek alternate routes whenever possible, the county said. Minor delays should be expected.
