UPDATE: Man, 84, Found Safe After Silver Alert

Updated, 11:15 a.m.:

Barker has been found safe, officials said Friday.

He was located at the Sarasota Kennel Club just before 11 a.m., according to Sarasota Police spokesperson Genevieve Judge.

Earlier:

Sarasota Police have issued a Silver Alert for a Sarasota man last seen Thursday.

Officers say Roy J. Barker, 84, was planning to play golf at the Rolling Green Golf Club but never arrived Thursday.

He was last seen in a silver/white gray 2003 Hyundai Elentra with tag M420ZL.

Barker is 5-foot-9 and 135 pounds, with grey hair and blue eyes. He has a faded tattoo on his left forearm. 

Barker was last seen wearing a blue golf shirt with a white shirt underneath and gray pants.
