South Shade Avenue To Close For Repairs
Railroad and sidewalk work will be completed on South Shade Avenue beginning Monday, June 25.
South Shade Avenue between South Pelican Drive and Novus Street will be temporarily closed beginning Monday, June 25 for railroad and sidewalk improvements, according to the City of Sarasota.
The road is expected to reopen Monday, July 16. During the closure, drivers should follow the posted detour signs.
Seminole Gulf Railroad will replace the rails to allow for smoother and safer vehicle crossing, the city announced.
