I-75 Lanes Reopen After Pig Carcass Spill
Motorists heading northbound on I-75 through Sarasota Wednesday morning ran into a jam created when dead pigs spilled onto the roadway.

SARASOTA, FL — A Wednesday morning incident on Interstate 75 created a bit of a snarl on northbound lanes heading through Sarasota.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a vehicle hauling “animal remains spilled some of its load on the northbound lanes of I-75 at mile marker 209.” Those remains reportedly are pig carcasses, according to several media outlets.
The right and center northbound lanes were blocked to traffic for a time as emergency crews worked to remove the carcasses from the roadway. The lanes reported around 10:40 a.m. Nov. 16.
