Shooting Suspect Arrested, Allegedly Threatened Victim After Shooting
James Dixon, 20, is the third man arrested in connection with a Feb. 22 shooting in Sarasota.

A suspected wanted in connection with the Feb. 22 shooting of a 44-year-old man in Sarasota has been arrested.
James Dixon, 20, was arrested by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office after being identified as a man named "Pudda" who shot the victim.
Dixon joins two brothers, Trae and Ryan Ward, in jail for the same shooting incident that occurred near 25th Street and Euclid Avenue.

According to the sheriff's office, following the Wards' arrest, Dixon threatened the victim after the shooting in an attempt to get the charges dropped against the Ward brothers.
Dixon has been charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and tampering with or harassing a victim.

The fugitive apprehension unit located him Wednesday morning in the 2900 block of Lockwood Meadows Boulevard with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force, authorities said.
Dixon, according to jail records, has nine prior arrests in Sarasota County for charges that include drug possession, sexual battery and evidence tampering.
