Police: Suspect Flees North Sarasota Shooting On Bike

A man was shot Tuesday morning near his home in the 1500 block of 22nd Street in Sarasota by a suspect who fled on a bicycle, authorities said.

The 38-year-old victim was shot several times before stumbling to his home, where neighbors called 911, a Sarasota Police spokesperson said. He was transported by helicopter to a local hospital.

The suspect has not been identified and remains at large, police said.
