Suspicious Death Under Investigation In Sarasota
The discovery of a man's body late Monday night has kicked off a suspicious death investigation in Sarasota.

SARASOTA, FL — The Sarasota Police Department is investigating the death of a man whose body was found Monday night.
According to the agency, officers were called to the area of 22nd Street and Palmadelia Avenue around 9:20 p.m. Aug. 28. When they arrived, they found the man deceased.
“Detectives are treating the cause of death as suspicious and are working to confirm the identity of the subject,” an email from Capt. Kevin Stiff said.

The man’s age and cause of death have not been released. Stiff said that there appears to be no threat to the general public.
